Homosexuality, Leviticus 20:13 prohibits sexual relations between men, defines us as an “abomination” and places us under the death penalty (see also Lev. 18:22), But remember in the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:13) Thou Shall Not Kill, although the verse appears to most readers to apply only to sexual behavior between two males, at least two Bible translations appear to mistranslate the verse in order to widen its scope to include lesbian sexual activity, but if the verse is considered in isolation -- as it is most often done -- then a logical interpretation is that the verse condemns all sexual activity between two males.
If Leviticus 18:22 is considered in the context of its surrounding chapters and previous verse, then one might expect that it refers to some forbidden idolatrous activity in a Pagan temple from which the ancient Israelites must separate themselves.
Biblical prohibitions of same-sex love directly influenced later Roman law and, indeed, Western legal statutes until the present (e.g. sodomy statutes in U.S. criminal law) if you don’t know what the sodomy statutes is, “A sodomy law is a law that defines certain sexual acts as sex crimes. The precise sexual acts meant by the term sodomy are rarely spelled out in the law, but are typically understood by courts to include any sexual act which does not lead to procreation. I believe in total separation of the church from the state, in other words The Equal Protection Clause which is part of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, provides that "no state shall ... deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws". The Equal Protection Clause can be seen as an attempt to secure the promise of the United States' professed commitment to the proposition that "all men are created equal" by empowering the judiciary to enforce that principle against the states, but remember the United States Bill of rights “Ninth Amendment – Protection of rights not specifically enumerated in the Bill of Rights. The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.”
In the end Homosexuality is normal but the way that people see, and the way the law are is basted on Catholic and Christian religious views and dominance, personal feeling’s, and not knowing what it is, human sexuality researchers, religious liberals, gays and lesbians generally agree that a person's sexual orientation is determined before reaching school age. Once established, sexual feelings are unchangeable. So the question must be asked “can’t we all just get along” or better yet can we won day see eye to eye and say, "We the People of the United States" are equal.
